When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local authorities with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

It's absurd that brokers from New York and California have "answered"...and have just referred you to the school district. If they don't know, they shouldn't answer.

This area is within the Waubonsie Valley HS boundary. There are no exceptions.

If you would like to search homes within the Metea Valley Hs boundary, please let me know.

As Dane has stated for high school Matea Valley H.S. in the Naperville School District serves this home. Matea is a fairly new H.S. located on Eola Road which opened in August 2009 to its first class of 9th & 10th graders. It is one of 3 high school's in district 204.

With easy access to I-88 its a great location for those that need to get on the road after dropping off a student.

Feel free to contact me if you have other questions about the area. Good luck!

Greetings Aurora812,

As per what the market will be 1.5 yrs from now, who knows?

As per you use this time to save more money for the down payment and improve credit if needed.

Have you spoken to a lender?
If not, try to get yourself preapproved now - you never know, you may qualify sooner than you think.

Feel free to contact me should you have any questions.

The Rental Market is strong throughout. If you offer a good unit at a fair price, it will be rented.

Dave - Home prices sales will be relative to the area of Aurora in which you are selling. The 60505 zip code has taken a heavy hit with the number of foreclosures in the area, but, other zip codes within the city has sustained well. Regardless, you are better narrowing your locality and referring to a Realtor for more detailed information. Hope this helps! ... more

Chris Clark answered:
There have been 13 sales of single family homes and townhomes over the last 6 months. Only 4 of those were traditional sales. The rest were bank owned or pre-forclosure. There are currently 70 homes on the market and 3 under contract. That means TONS of inventory and competition. It's great if you are looking to buy, but if you need to sell, you might consider staying put for now. ... more
