The builder you can use will ultimately depend on how you are getting this done. If you are paying cash and not going to have a mortgage on the property at this time then i would suggest looking on newhomesource.com as they have complied a list of home builders so you would be able to pick which one you want to use. If you are getting a home built with the intentions of getting a mortgage once completed or during the process than your lender will provide you with a list of approved builders that they have. Nothing no luck , I did find out there is no governing body i.e. watch dog for HOA , so I say suck it up butter cup, and go to the meetings voice your concerns, as of today 09/29/2008 I have not gone to one of my HOA meetings, seems none have been scheduled. Had I known how much power this type of NON-PROFIT organization had I would have never of bought my place. I hope all ends well with you. ... more
