I'd echo the below advice. You'll want to avoid Dunwoody, though a very nice town, it's held hostage by having Comcast as the only broadband internet service provider - you can easily end up paying close to $200 per month just to have internet. ... more

Brookwood High Cluster in Gwinnett County. I know it is completely the opposite direction from where you are currently looking but has easy access to I85 via Ronald Reagan Parkway. The commute may be on the fringe of that 30 minute window you are looking for but offers great diversity and one of the best school districts in the state. I have a few past clients living there that work at Tech and surrounding areas in Atlanta and they don't mind the commute at all. Let me know if you need any help. I live there as well. ... more

Hello Ms. McCleave,

This is just a follow up to see if you've actually started the process. Gwinnett County offers a good quality of life, offering the best in the very necessities that you described. Trulia Maps (http://www.trulia.com/local/atlanta-ga/tiles:1|points:1_crime) might be a good resource for crime information while the site at the link below should provide valuable insight into the other desired information (grocers, eateries and where to find things). Of course, our award multi-award winning schools offer a variety of subjects, platforms, schedules and more that address the needs of many households, from charter schools, special needs and more.

As one who also transplanted from Northern New Jersey to Metro Atlanta, I'd welcome the opportunity to speak with you about Gwinnett County, Georgia. At any rate, have a safe and happy move to the Peach State.

I totally agree with this article. Why buy packing supplies when they can be obtained freely. Why take items to the new house which you don’t use, keep a yard sale. When giving companies estimate in whether method be honest and having an in house estimate by a company is much better it can reduce the expensive. It is proven that moving can be stressful. If that is the case why pay a high cost for stress. When moving we would browse the net and look for the cheapest moving company. Does reliable and efficient count in that search too or just the price. Do we look for the disadvantages of using moving companies? I don’t think moving should be expense and at the same time I think the movers should be reliable and efficient. who would want to work for a low income not me for sure, we need to be reasonable and fair when we use the word CHEAP. We should check out the reviews and everything about a moving company before using it. Especially the pricing strategies. Like just two months ago I moved into my new house. I was worried about how I would move all of my stuff safely and where to find a reliable moving company which would work with my budget. A friend of mines told me of A-1 Moving & Storage and the professional services these guys offer. So I am very satisfied with the services I received and I would recommend them to others. They are also known for providing exceptional storage facilities, check out more at http://www.jupiter-movers.net/local.cfm or give them call today (561) 625-0600. ... more

Social Security income is not based on a particular state. How much an individual receives is strictly based on their prior earnings.

Starting a businees would not be easy if you are brand new to an area. That would be a very risky move without some type of established client base.. ... more

There are plenty of homes for rent in Duluth and Suwannee in your price range. All single family, detached - many in swim/tennis subdivisions.

I can send you a list of what is available. My email is: Jennifer.Ashtar@bhhsgeorgia.com

What are the ages of your children? Chattahoochee, Walnut Grove, Harris, and M.H. Mason are all highly rated schools in Duluth and Suwannee. Check GreatSchools.org for more school information.
