Same experience here, stay away from Bank Of America as Lender and ask them not to use Landsafe - this company has created many problems for many people.

We have NOT been listed for 180 days. We have been listed for 37 DAYS. Traditonal agents do not like the duffy realty sytem and say they deal with unreasonable sellers. They would rather work with an agent. As a result they do not show our property. You can reply reach me at 6786652505 for any other question or to present an offer. Good morning Linda,

I don't think you can go wrong with either location. Both Midtown and Brookhaven are great areas to invest in. Due to the fact that they are both highly sought after locations and will likely remain that way in the future, purchasing property there would be a smart move. I would argue that Midtown gets the slight edge due to the school district (another major factor in gauging strong property values). I would love to talk with you in more detail about what you are looking for in your new home and assist you in narrowing down which area would work best for you. Feel free to contact me at anytime. Hope to hear from you soon.

All the best,

Daniel Frankson

Redfin's Scouting Report used to do this, but was taken down after complaints by other agents (I wonder why?)

NeighborCity purports to do this now, but YMMV

http://www.neighborcity.com

Unfortunately the information is not readily available; the local MLS's aren't keen on giving away this information.

You would need to contact a local real estate agent. They will be able to look up that historical data for you. But, note that past performance is not a guarantee of future performance. As neighborhoods mature, things change. Just keep that in mind as you look over the data. ... more

Please notice that everyone is steering you to the north side of Atlanta. If you or your partner travel for business you might want to rethink things, like we did.
I looked all over the north side and found some lovely places but access to things we wanted for our family were all on the SOUTH SIDE!
We wound up in Fayette County, near Peachtree City to take advantage of the excellent school system. It also allows for access to the over 100 miles of golf cart paths that you and your family can use to go just about anywhere; food shopping, the Doctor's office, 25 minutes to the Airport, etc.
We have now been in a Gated Golf Community with a junior Olympic swimming pool, play ground, activities and very active ALTA tennis for just over 10 years. Arnold Palmer designed the 18 holes.
Whitewater Creek is know around the south side as the place with something for everyone. We also have 3 lakes.
Pilots are required to live within 20 minutes of the airport, so I have been told. You find that on the south side of Atlanta.
I was lucky enough to run into a few teachers when we were looking and this is where they wanted to have their children educated. There are also some awesome private school options should that appeal to you.
Check out wwcreek.org (Gated Whitewater Creek)
Also, Newhaven, Woodcreek; Highgrove and surrounding areas. You will be surprised at the access to Atlanta.
Starr's Mill High School / Whitewater High School / McIntosh High School
We wanted access without feeling cramped in another McMansion situation, the south side has it.

Hey Hilary! The answer to your question is ABSOLUTELY! I've been active in that community for some time now and have seen a significant increase over to last 12 - 18 months. I only expect that numbers will continue to not only hold their value but also incline, increasing equity for existing homeowners and for new buyers as they purchase. If you're thinking of purchasing in the area, I'd advise you to do so sooner than later to preserve your position. ... more
