Mary, Edgewood is definently improving with all the plans of revitalization that has already taken place with more plans in the works. One major project that is in the works for Edgewood is a mixed-use development which is to include a variety of residential homes and commercial property opportunities. The improvement of the Edgewood Marta system and Walker Park also adds to the growth of this neighborhood where real estate is on the rise.

About 10 minutes depending on traffic and actual building on campus. GSU is spread out over multiple buildings downtown. The good news is that I-20 has a better traffic pattern coming into downtown vs I75/85 aka "the connector" and there are many sides streets to navigate as well which I highly recommend over the I75/85 North exit. ... more

Gwinnett County may be of interest to you. Brookwood, Parkview, Peachtree Ridge, Duluth, Lanier, North Gwinnett, Collins Hill High Schools and others consistently score higher on standardized exams. One of the top performing schools nationally, however, is the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology, a charter school based right here in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

Please use the search engine at the link below to search for your ideal home based on Gwinnett County High Schools. I'd welcome the opportunity to speak with you about your needs.

All my best for a successful transition into the Metropolitan Atlanta Area.

The HOA fees cover a wide range of items including exterior maintenance, security, use of all amenities, water and trash service. It is important to work with an experience agent (REALTORĀ®) to assist you with any questions and the home selection process. We will work with on-site property management office and provide specific details about what HOA fees cover.

I own property in Cross Creek and have sold to multiple homeowners recently. The market is moving with many condos commanding multiple offers. It is important to know the community and do the research. There is a wide variation in the condition and desirability of location among the individual units- therefore a wider range of pricing.

Feel free to contact me with any questions about Cross Creek Condominiums. I am an expert on the community.

Hi g.ntta666,

This property is not currently listed for sale in the MLS. I am not positive, but I think the answer is no. While I could not check this property specifically, I checked some other random properties in the same building that are for sale/ have sold recently. None of them have fireplaces, so I think it is very unlikely that just this property would.

OMG! Do not buy in Kirkwood especially if you have school age children...schools are not good unless you go Charter. There is high crime in Kirkwood area...robberies mostly but there was a recent murder in the last month of a young man on a bike trail. Kirkwood would be for a couple with no kids and to pay 400K there would be a shame. You should buy in City of Decatur if you want to have your kids in good schools and you may be able to get a small home in that price range...it is crazy expensive to live in Decatur. Fernbank area is also excellent Elementary schools right outside of Kirkwood and Decatur...Hope this helps. ... more

Daniel Frankson answered:
There are some good properties still on the market in that price point, but they do not last long at all. In this market it is hard to get everything you may want (good school district, nice/safe area, newer construction, etc) for under $100k, but these types of listings do pop up every now and then. When they do come on the market, be prepared and plan to act very quickly. Not only will there be a lot of competition for these types of properties, but there will also be a great deal of investors (cash buyers) after them as well.

Feel free to contact me at anytime if I can further assist you.

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.
