OK, let's call them what they are and not what they were. After the foreclosure is over someone owns it and often the bank does. Now they are called bank owned property or REO's.

You should get an agent to represent you because you don't have to worry. Plus, in most cases, don't know about yours specifically, but in most cases, the buyer doesn't have to pay a commission to the buyer's agent so why wouldn't you? ... more

Unfortunately as of October 1st. Ashland is no longer eligible for the USDA Loan Program. If you would like more information on the USDA program I would be happy to pass along the contact information of a mortgage broker I highly recommend.

I have a lot of experience working with buyers in Ashland and I would invite you to take a look at the testimonials page on my website to get a better sense of how I service my clients.

It might also depend on how long you have been working. My advice would be to talk to a good lender try Alan Kessler at the Mortgage Pro's in Framingham, he's excellent (508) 370-0111 ext 2. If your not able to buy right now he can tell you what to do to be ready asap.

I'm a local agent and have sold real estate here in the metro-west area for 20 years. Visit my web site at or call me at 508-932-9179 to start looking at homes!

Yes it can vary. I recently was looking at an Ashland property with a client and was quoted between 6000 and 12000 by the broker to hook up to town sewer. As stated above, there are a lot of variables so you need a professional to quote. Most towns have a list of approved contractors to quote and do the work necessary. I hope this helps. ... more

I would check out the town's website, the recreation department and the chamber of commerce. Places like the Boy's and Girl's Club or the YMCA usually provide after school programs as well. Once your children start school you'll be able to ask the other parents about summer camps. Good luck! ... more

The brook is permenant and in spring becomes more noticeable, it drains off into the Sudbury River. This year that brook became a raging river with the wetlands a lake, many in that area have water issues in their basement during spring thaw. That is what sump-pumps are for. The neighborhood is a nice quiet child friendly area. You are within walking distance to the train.

I have been in this neighborhood 20+ years.

It depends on the area you live. Ask a local realtor to give you a list of recents SOLDS in the area, they mean much more then assessments.
