I've lived in Hot Springs for 9 years and live in the Lake Hamilton School District, while I don't have any kids it seems to be a great area to live. Lake Hamilton won an academic award last year. Lake Side School District is the other popular one to live in. I personally wouldn't live in the city of Hot Springs, city codes and rules are too strict. If you are interested in living on the lake check out Lake Hamilton, there's a lot of nice houses right on the lake. However I wouldn't recommend living on Lake Catherine- houses might be a little cheaper but don't think there's much demand to live there. I recommed you renting a place until you get a feel for which area you would prefer.
