ive been here since 2005 after growing up and living in san diego for 30 years and its just as safe as the next place. its not as if youre gonna step outside and be mugged at every corner. its only as dangerous or safe as you allow your surroundings to get.. As a bonus, as long as youre of age and not a felon you can carry a concealed weapon and youre completely legal! The town does have a meth epidemic, but as long as you stay away from the infected you'll be fine. maybe not the best place to raise kids because of its epidemic and the potential for peer pressure though.. ... more

The City of Casa Grande has a GREAT, informative crime map on their website. You can get the information either on that site or by speaking with the police department.

Only two major violations of the Fair Housing Act in the answers below. Not bad.

Real estate professionals are prohibited by federal law from discussing any area in subjective terms such as good, bad, safe, quiet, beautiful, etc. And they're absolutely prohibited from interpreting the data to steer a buyer "a few miles south" as was done below.

Trulia has links to crime stats in different areas on the property listings; click through there and you should be able to get your question answered about an area.

Hi

That is a real good question. You may google any zip code to find the crime rate and local demographics. An agent cannot steer a client in any one area. It is the buyer's due diligence to investigate everything that is of importance. One that I use is the azcentral website for a snap shot. You can plug in any zip code. http://www.azcentral.com/CrimeMaps/?sort=d_date&city=Select+City&zipcode=85339&location=&days=30&category=

There are many southwest valley zip codes that you can input. If you need a list please call or email me.

Each city tracks these statistics. As agents, we must lead you to the source (ie. the police web site). In Scottsdale, for example, the site is: http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/Page207.aspx

Google "(city name) crime statistics."

Here you can see plenty of information on crime linked to a map of the city. You can then locate any home you are interested in and see the crime activity (if any).

I was born and raised in Yuma Az, a place where I never saw any crime growing up. If you can find a good job in Yuma it's the perfect place to raise a family. I moved to Fl. when I was a young adult which is a beautiful place to live but high in crime. My family still lives in Yuma and I vacation there once a year because it's a place where I can go to enjoy Mexican CuIsine, fishing and relax. I can walk through the grocery store without cluching my purse under my arms thinking someone might grab it, and can ride in my car with the windows down enjoying the breeze not having to worry about being car jacked. I like the small quaint town and would love to retire there but due to the lack of skilled physicians and only one medical hospital I will continue living in Fl . ... more
