Hi Kivi,

I live in Haverford Township and I have two children in the Haverford School District. The schools are wonderful! There are many different areas and neighborhoods in Haverford Township that are great for first time home buyers and young families. Ardmore, Havertown, Bryn Mawr, and parts of Haverford have great starter homes. Please contact me if I can be of assistance to you.

Thanks

this will depend on teh property. Suggest you talk to the homeowner and get a few past bills, or ask for utility company that they are using and youcan nn the utility company.

l live in Havertown and own several investment properties in that exact area. In the past it has been a "bit rough around the edges" as you say, but I feel that the area is absolutely improving, and that Ardmore will be a future hot spot. It is a terrific area for young families with the multitude of playgrounds, library and walkability to stores and restaurants, as well as the train. Lots of home inventory and a choice between two school districts gives you some great options. I would be happy to answer any other questions or to help with your search. ... more

There are opportunities for you in the Havertown and Ardmore area in the $100-175K price range. Are you looking for a single family home? It is certainly doable if you would consider a condo or townhouse. Are you a first time home buyer? Do you qualify for any government credits? Lastly, have you spoken to a mortgage person and how do you know your price range is $100-175K?

I would be glad to meet with you to review your position and to decide which houses would work best for you given your set of circumstances.
