I moved here in 2010, and love the area and most of the people I've met. We needed immediate help and didn't know a soul. Hired people looking for work to help us renovate our home. Found good workers who had access to everything we owned, and we were in a motel for 2 months with the garage at the house open. With all the people having access to almost everything we had, we had no thefts, no destruction, etc. I've been told we have a lot of drug addicts and one on one crimes, and I cannot argue that, but none of it has touched us or our property. ... more

I don't think there would really be any value attached to insulation aside from it actually being present and functional. Living in a house without insulation can be extremely cold and difficult to adjust to. Because of that, a house could lose value if there isn't any insulation present. I don't think that you could make any extra money based on the insulation though. If you have any more questions about it though, you should probably talk to a real estate agent.

Holbrook is a smaller town in Arizona, but I suspect that's why a lot of the people who live there like it. There are plenty of banks and gas stations there, at least 5 each. It is also located on Interstate 40, with easy access to larger cities in both directions (Gallup, NM and Flagstaff, AZ). Interstate 40 in that area of the country is also Historic Route 66.

If you have any questions about obtaining a mortgage for your home purchase in Holbrook, just let me know and I'll be happy to help.

The are more questions that need to be answered;

1. exactly where are the lots?
2. are the lots improved or unimproved (have water/utilities at each)
--- if the lots are improved the value goes up
--- if the lots are no improved the real estate value goes down.

What are you wanting to do with the lots because you do have real estate options.

To find the value you also have choices:

1. provide more information and we can provide the research to give you the history of recent sales.
2. you can go to http://realestatevalues.us for free real estate value report

Yes, according to the County Recorder, when you purchase something as a tax lien, you are not purchasing the property, you have just invested on the balance owed on taxes. You must wait 3 years before attempting to contact the owner to sign over the warranty deed to the property. The property owner, if wanting to continue ownership, they have 3 years to redeem their property, if they do not make the tax balance current/paid in full, then you may contact the owner. ... more
