Crime statistics do vary from neighborhood to neighborhood. This is why it is important to go house hunting with a local neighborhood expert who can provide guidance.

My website has a feature called Market Insider than many of my clients find helpful to gain valuable insight into the Anchorage community. Look at household incomes, crime risk, education levels attained, and potential for extreme weather. Use the map to locate points of interest like shopping, restaurants, and healthcare services.

You can even compare where you live to a new neighborhood or multiple areas using current information on community summaries, market stability, schools, listing vs. sold price, buyer vs. seller market, and even smoking bans.

Let me know if I can be of service!

Thanks!

Most older subdivisions have very little restrictions on cutting down trees. If you are in a condo it may be that the association would have rules to govern the removal of trees. I don't know whether you are in a house or a condo, but that subdivision has mostly large lots and the homes were built in the 70's, so it would be my guess that you have no rules. If you are still concerned, don't have an association, you can contact any title company and they can give you a copy of the covenants for that subdivision. It may be that those rules (or covenants) are on your as-built survey, considering the year built. ... more

Hi Kit,
It sounds like you may mean the coastal trail when referring to the Tony Knowles bike trail. There is a way to get there from Campbell Park, and most of it is via a bike trail that hooks up to the Chester Creek trail, that then hooks up to the Coastal trail. These easiest area to access the coastal trail is from more west side locations, though.

This link should help! Enjoy the ride!
