Yes its totally doable and fairly common. Many condo HOA's are not accepting of short term rentals and charge hundreds to even view their hoa docs. I have a bunch of these docs I've collected over the years in Anaheim. You are welcome to come by my office and take a look.
I would also highly recommend property management familiar with vacation rentals. They will be a huge hassle if you don't have somebody close who can help make the place run smoothly.
