Welcome to Richmond! You will love it! If there is anything I can do to assist with the financing of your new home please feel free to give me a call. My office is very close to where you are looking to move so we could most certainly set a time to sit down in person as well if you will be in town. I look forward to speaking with you.

Brandermill and Woodlake are both good options in Chesterfield County, they have good community amenities and many have fenced in yards.

Do you want to know yourself, or are you asking other people if they would like to know? The way you phrased it, it's kinda hard to tell.

Debbie - I'm from Canada - so don't have any interest in your property - that is exactly why I'm responding - I'm not fond of biased opinions from anyone wanting to 'list' your home. Yet, there's some pretty good information from the people that responded. Don't get trapped by the person who tells you what you want to hear. Your home is a huge asset, a huge investment and scrutinizing every step will be critical, or you'll end up sitting on the market for a very long time, especially now. I think you can likely do some of the preliminary stuff by yourself, to feel confident with who, and how you will sell your property - and for a price that reflects reality. We're not designed to for the US market, but I'm very confident that if you look at our free Quick House Price you will be able to ask the right questions of anyone who is going to provide a market value of your property. Good Luck!

Dear Steve,

In the future you might consider only submitting payment into "Escrow" which is an unbiased third party. This way you can prove to the seller you are placing a good faith deposit but do not allow yourself to be vulnerable to loose your deposit. You can also ask the seller to fund a small second mortgage on the property for you. Good luck! ... more
