Generally speaking the commissions are paid from the seller's side. However, the buyer's agent may have negotiated compensation with his/her client. The buyer9;s agent would negotiate this in case a property was found that was not , for certain, payable through the seller's side. For example, this may be the case with a for sale by owner (FSBO) type listing. I hope this helped.

HOA fees always always vary from complex to complex. If you don't have an agent consider the services, he/she can advise as to HOA fees as they relate to each complex, schedule showings, etc., or if you happen to know who management is for any complex, you can call them directly and ask. ... more

Regarding tax breaks for Over 65, there is something called a Circuit Breaker Credit. Although it is impossible to predict how long it will take for a short sale to close, it does tend to be longer than traditional closings. You should have your agent include in the offer the date you would be available to close. If yours is the only offer, the bank may not have a problem with a mid August closing. As far as your lease is concerned, you should consider asking about month to month lease after August if needed. ... more
