Hi Rosa,

YES this is a red flag to our underwriters. Do you have any account that does not show any overdraft for at least 30 days. If not wait until you can present a clean bank statement. I would be delighted to provide you with some mortgage options, (this does not require us pulling your credit) that will allow you to make the best decision for your family. I can be contacted via my profile information for a no obligation consultation. My Office hours are 08:00 AM-08:00 PM Mon-Fri and Fri and Sat 08:00 AM-06:00 PM CST.

Hi Linda,

Based on your post you are in a very good position and is thinking of all the what if's and that is not such a bad thing. You have the option to purchase an inexpensive insurance to pay the home or wait until you are 62 and convert the home to a reverse mortgage in that you would not have a mortgage and the other party would stay in the home until both have deceased when the estate would settle up. I would be delighted to assist you in making your dream a reality, by providing you with a no obligation consultation should you reach out to me via my profile information.

Debra (Debbie) Rose answered:
Well, you just did

How were you scammed?
Was it a rental scam (if so, there are warnings about them. and they exist all over the internet, and if something seems too good to be true, it usually isn't true)

Was it a rent with the option to buy scam? They often don't end well for the tenant/buyer.

Know that trulia's Q&A section is not working properly - no one will be notified of your question, and if you respond further on this thread, no one will be notified of that, either.

They used to send out notifications when new answers were added, but that stopped almost a year ago (it's an ongoing problem), so no one has a way of seeing this unless they happen upon it.

Sorry you were cheated..............too late to say this, but if you worked with an agent, you would have had protection against a scammer.

best wishes

Termites are very common depending on where you live. There are treatments available to kill or slow them. They are usually non-damaging. I think that termites aren't too big of a problem, personally.

Hi Cassie,

I totally understand that you would rather put your money into a house instead of putting it into a rental. There are several properties that are available that are a lease with an option to buy. I have a list of properties & I would be happy to help you in any way.

Cindi Bulla answered:
Hi Shelly,

There are pros and cons on both sides, so what you need is to see an objective market analysis on your own property, and an estimated net sheet based upon a realistic sales price if you sold the property straight up without the trade. Then, you can make an informed decision about whether the trade scenario is for you. Realty Central works with an excellent, reputable builder who will consider trades located in Amarillo and Canyon. I would love to meet with you at no cost or obligation to discuss it further. You may contact me at 806-236-5100 or cindi@realtycentralamarillo.com. ... more
