How were you scammed?
Was it a rental scam (if so, there are warnings about them. and they exist all over the internet, and if something seems too good to be true, it usually isn't true)

Was it a rent with the option to buy scam? They often don't end well for the tenant/buyer.

Know that trulia's Q&A section is not working properly - no one will be notified of your question, and if you respond further on this thread, no one will be notified of that, either.

They used to send out notifications when new answers were added, but that stopped almost a year ago (it's an ongoing problem), so no one has a way of seeing this unless they happen upon it.

Sorry you were cheated..............too late to say this, but if you worked with an agent, you would have had protection against a scammer.

Termites are very common depending on where you live. There are treatments available to kill or slow them. They are usually non-damaging. I think that termites aren't too big of a problem, personally.
