And I'm not talking about the reasons you are talking about power lines, I'm talking about penta and creosote poles that are poisonous lpuse once every ten years osmose goes into your back yard and inspect them . The Dig around the circumference of the poles 20 inches they bore out holes in the pole which produces wood dust also the drill is hot and a foggy smoke comes out is toxic the wood shavings scatter all over the place in tour yard also bas for you . Metam sodium they call wood fume is pours into the tiny holes and that stuff spills all over the ground and in the soil on the surface of the pole ass well. Never let your kids or dogs around the pole never touch it with your bare hands ! Dint burn the poles ever . Look it up . I have been an Almaden resident for over 25 years. When we were younger and before our family, we really weren't concerned with getting involved with the neighbors. Each pocket of Almaden is different, as is so with any community. More people are able to drive their cars into their garages and may avoid getting to know their neighbors this way, however I do see quite a bit of people going for walks with their families, dogs, etc. Not everyone wants to get to know their neighbors, but there is a private site called NextDoor.com that neighborhoods have created where you can get to know your neighbors, set up play dates, exercise groups, etc. It's always a good idea to get to know your neighbors so that you can look out for each other and meet new friends as well.
