Property Taxes are not a new invention; they go back thousands of years:
They were intended, and still are, to support the Government.
No matter whether they were FAIR or JUST, they have always shared three things:
* They are imposed on us because the Rulers can,
* We have always been willing to pay taxes, loosely based on the desirability of where we live,
* They are more a function of the management, (or mis-management) of the government than anything else.

The biggest difference today; is that if we don't like the Taxes in our County or State, we are certainly free to move somewhere else.

Tom Roth answered:
Eddy, forget the pictures. Sometimes listing agents cut corners by doing a cut and paste. ..If you are interested in seeing this house go see it. If you are currently represented by a real estate agent, ask your agent. If you don't have a buyer agency with an agent call me Tom Roth, Keller Willliams Real Estate 484-225-9942 and I'll be happy to show it to you as well as explain why you should have a Buyer Agent working for you. ... more

I will say in our area.. the number of local buyers have started to fall off while the number of out of the area buyers have really increased..

I started using sites like Trulia more to try and get a nationwide buyer base rather then marketing only the local area.

Hope things are going well for you..

Donald Bradbury answered:
Hi Sandy:
If you plan to move in June, and want to avoid the possibliity of two mortgages ( your new home, and your unsold home) then you should get your home on the market NOW! Do not delay! Remember, as the seller, you do not pay any cost to a Realtor until your home sells. You also are the home owner, so you control your own fate. You will never be homeless.
I live in macungie as well, and would be happy to help. rated #1 in all of Pennsylvania on Active Rain, I have the ability to show you everything you need to know to effectively market your property to get it sold by the time you need to move. I look forward to your call. www.bradburyteam.com 215-536-6777 x 329
