These answers all sound a little crazy. List your home on Zillow or Trulia. If you are targeting an older market, the newspaper still with publish the ad in the classifieds. I am currently looking for a new place and I check almost exclusively online everyday. Zillow, Trulia, and craigslist. isn't too bad, but it tends to be mostly apartments and most people on there are not looking for actual homes. ... more

Yes but the schools are not great, you would need to go private if you have kids.

SW is much more expensive, and you will likely have trouble finding much rental selection for a house. It's mainly owner occupied. NW will likely bring you the same trouble. NE has a better rental selection. All three areas are very safe and considered desireable. A very popular rental area is more central, located north of East State Street and south of Coliseum Boulevard. This is a generally safe area and is popular for college students and families alike. It is also a very afforable rental area. I think that area is your best place to start!

SW Fort Wayne tends to be known as the rich "snobby" area. NW also tends to get this. NE Fort Wayne is more of the middle income families and is a very popular/more affordable region of the city.

Unless you are on a tight budget, I would avoid renting anything south of the Maumee river and east of Ardmore Avenue.

Hope this helps!

Hi Dawn, thought you might be interested in this wonderful center located right here in Fort Wayne. I have a friend who has a daughter with special needs, she started her off at a public school but didn't feel she was getting the proper care of attention she needed. She's now taking her to helpinghands center which she really loves! Just another option for you if you are not able to find a public school that fits your needs. Good luck & take care!

SW and NW are the best schools, but if your kids are interested in sports you may want to pick an area where that school excels in a sport. The SW high school is known mostly for its band, and the NW high school is going through growing pains. Call or email me and I would be happy to help you out.
