Trulia is NOT a rental company or a real estate sales company. It is simply a marketing website that pulls listings from many different sources. If you're interested in renting a property, you need to contact the property manager or landlord directly.

But beware of the many scams on this site. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. If the person asks you to send money out of state or out of the country, DON'T DO IT.

It's best to find a property management company in your area and deal with them directly.

Something similar happened to me once. Rented to a boyfriend/girlfriend, they split, she moved out. New girlfriend moved in, they split, he moved out. Then, I had a woman living in my rental house that I didn't even know. But, I had no lease with her, so was able to get her out fairly quickly for trespassing. This was in another state (not NM), although I live here now. If you'd like the name of an attorney that can help, let me know. I have a local one that deals with this sort of thing here in ABQ. ... more

Sometimes if you look at an apartments website they will tell you if a felony conviction is considered or not for their property.

That's a good question for an attorney, my guess would be no, you need to get all homeowners on board. Good luck!

Landlords are used to seeing a variety of credit scores among their new tenants. Some landlords care more about the explanation than the score itself. Landlords realize that many of their tenants would buy if they could, but if the tenant is not a qualified buyer, the tenant rents. ... more
