I have had several folks contact me because of my postings here. I have shown property to two of those individuals but both are in the beginning stage of determining if now is the time to buy. Within the past 3 months I have had a few inqueries from my Trulia listings and a few from my Zillow listings. I cannot attribute any sales to Trulia to date.

30 Years ago my mentor told me "to strive at every opportunity to share my Real Estate wisdom with everyone, to freely answer questions and always be helpful and considerate. Everything you do in this business to give exposure to yourself and your business has a positive impact in time. If you do nothing, don't complain when the phone stops ringing"

She also was a firm believer in a substantial advertising budget and taking advantage of every opportunity to promote your business for free.

I see Trulia more as a professional education tool. Some answers are not well thought out as if the agents are strictly using this as a forum to get leads. They are the ones that answer question after question with little value in the answer.

Others are amazingly thorough and do not list any links back to their website.

I have seen an average of 10-15 clickthroughs from Trulia back to my website each month. Sooner or later I'll find a client or friend or both.
