Looking for a single/family detached house to rent, if that is what you are looking for, can be difficult in general. One reason for this is that the owner of a rental home most likely has another home of their own so they may be paying 2 mortgages at the same time (especially if they cannot find a renter)--in this economy, most people cannot afford to have 2 mortgages or they are having to down size maybe because the second house is simply too stressful on their funds with up-keep or just plain stressful. Most people who move out of their home would rather sell than rent because they are depending on the possible large lump sum of money they will make to afford to buy their next home which is typically larger.

Exeter Township is a great place to live and a great school district!! Honestly, there is no magic formula for why their aren't many out their. I did run a quick search for you and found 5 residential rentals, but we would need to speak so I can learn more about what exactly you are looking for in a rental home. It's FREE to give me a call anytime! You can reach me on my cell: (814) 221-8596 or my direct line: (610) 370-8429.

I hope some of this information helps!! Good luck and let me know if I can help you any further :)

Anca, most single family homes are at least 1,200 square feet and generally more than that up to 2,000 square feet and more. Apartment rents nationally are from 80 cents to over a dollar a foot , so you can see how the rental price for a home would be high.
