Who uses Realtor.com's enhanced features?

Asked by Tim Moore, Kitty Hawk, NC Tue Dec 7, 2010

Realtor.com calls me all the time wanting me to sign up for enhanced features on their site. I know many buyers and sellers look at the internet these days but the fees realtor.com charges are high. If you have over 25 listings in the year they charge something like $700 to get the enhanced features no matter if only 2 listings sold. I tried it a few years ago with no real difference in calls or emails. Who has some pros and cons to share?

I agree with Tim. I have very few clients that come from Realtor.com and I have tried the enhanced listing packages before with very little results if any. I would use the other free websites to promote your listings and put your money elsewhere for advertising.

Hi Tim,

Yes I pay for Realtor.com enhanced features. It is one of the priciest in the industry but it is still the biggest contender. I use it because I have a lot of listings and it is still the main website sellers relate to. If I only had a couple of listings at a time I would not be paying for it.
In term of lead generation, it is very weak IMO-

I am not using it, so hard for me to say it using it would make such a difference... It seems to me, that the buying public does their searching on the internet on various sites not just Realtor.com, and once they find
properties they are seriously interested in, they either contact a Realtor in the family, a Realtor they have used before, a Realtor in their neighborhood, a Realtor a neighbor, friend, co worker, family member recommends to them....

So as a listing agent.... I am not sure that the expense will make me sell a property faster through Realtor.com
But may be someone who uses the enhanced features has a different experience.
Good Luck
