Which company offers the best training and mentoring for new real estate agents in Las Vegas?

Keller Williams is the fastest growing and largest for a reason... the training, open book policy, focus on teaching agents how to be true CEO's and team build is cutting edge and will prevail as the old school business models of the high budget marketing firms like remax, coldwell, prudential, etc will become a model of the past and continue to loose their best agents if they don't modify there model and open the books...

Forget Keller Williams, Century 21, RE/MAX, Better Homes and Gardens, etc. etc. etc. The best mentoring comes from a mentor, not from an office. Interview the individual person who will be your mentor and decide if they are capable of getting you where you want to go. It doesn't matter which office they work in, they could even be independent brokers who don't work for a franchise. Offices don't make you successful, people do - starting with you.

You can try the Ballen group at Keller Williams, Heidi Kasama-Broker-at Prudential Summerlin or contact Tamara T at Universale Realty in Henderson. I know, personally, that these three offer what you asked about.

Your best bet is to find a successful agent and offer to be their assistant--it will be a win-win for you. I recently took a brand new agent just our of RE school--in less than 3 months she has 8 transactions in escrow and her name on more than 10 listings; AND is working with 4 active buyers at the moment. It has been a win-win for both of us. There is no training program in the world that can exceed on the job training.

Exactly LVrealestateHELP......when I first got in the business 17 years a go , I had a friend recommend that I interview many agency's . I kept going back to Century 21 and I was happy because they had an awesome training class, every day of the week starting at 9 am. Then as I was in the business for about 5 years, I decided to go with another company and It took me about a year to make what I was making with C21 in 6 months, but now I do not feel I need the C21 name but I love my broker and our office so I became a 100% agent and stayed put but if something should ever happen, I might not go with C21 again since I can stand on my own now. The main reason I wouldnt go back to C21 is because I dont like franchise fees.
So to the OP, get a seasoned Realtor to help you make a questions list to interview these companies, dont go off someones opinion, it may not suit you. and these companies are interviewing you , you are interviewing them as well. You will know when and where you will feel the most comfortable. Good luck to you.

I agree with Rhonda it is hard to say which would be the best. I would look for someone that is successful and see if they would take you under their wing. If you do not have someone like this in mind I would probably go with a larger company that has training measures in place. I believe once you get up to speed and feel comfortable going out on your own you can move to a brokerage that will offer you 100% commissions for an office rental fee.

Unless someone has been to every office and participated in everyones traIning classes , it would be impossible to know who gives the best training. Be sure to make appointments with different companies and ask them about their training classes and ask to see what they can show you. I would check out name brand offices before anything just because your new and name recognition does super well for beginner agents .

First mistake agents make is that if you have a website..............they will come...........

Thank you to everyone who responded. I passed my license exam on Monday, so I am now excited to reach out and learn from everyone here on Trulia. One thing that I did not take into account was the fees related to doing business in real estate. Can any of you provide an approximate cost or range of the monthly fees involved in real estate? I ask because I have researched different websites and have seen fees as high as $350 and $500 a month, I have also seen numbers as low as $25. Thanks again.

For Realtor websites try ... Zillow. It has IDX and templates and starts at $10 per month.

If I was starting from scratch in Real Estate, I would search for the most successful experienced agent and beg them to allow you to work as their assistant. Nothing like working with a pro to get real world experience on things that makes one successful

I work for Century 21 Aadvantage Gold, we have two offices one in Silverado ranch area and one in the nw area. We have great training and we have meetings every week, also if you need extra help there are many seasoned agents that will help you. Our Broker is wonderful to work with, she doesnt harp on your or nag you, Her door is always opened for her agents, she is never to busy to help you, also she wont compete with the agents for work, the only listings she does is people who have specifically requested her. You are also a person to her and not a number....You should interview with her and give her a chance. You can call 214-1400 and ask for Red, or me at 239-6900. Please let her know I asked you to talk to her. Good luck where ever you go.

In my experience Prudential has the best training for general new agents. However, it depends on what type of real estate you want to go into. If you want to learn about REO's you may want to contact Troy Kearns over at Gavish Real Estate. If you're interested in Luxury, reach out to me or other luxury brokers.

The best education will depend on what you want to learn. What niche are you going to sell in? First time home buyers? HUD homes? Short Sales?

The best advice is to speak with as many brokers as you can stand and see who rubs you the right way. An office may have great training and education, but if the culture is not a right fit then you probably wont have longevity.

If you'd like to speak with me more, just pick up the phone. The telephone is your new best tool.

I would suggest you take a look at what Realty One Group offers their new agents. Peggy Simon is in charge of training and she does an excellent job. They have allot to offer. Feel free to contact me and we can talk about any questions you have. I have been there for several years and do not have to pay for my Continuing Education Clases. That is a big benefit for me. I know they have a complete training program for new agents. I hope I have helped.
Thank You
