HI! And congratulations on your new career! It is important to interview with different companies. This is a unique business in that you can "hang" your license almost anywhere! Many broker/managers are simply collecting bodies. You need to ask what type of training is provided, does the company provide leads & marketing, supply lockboxes & yardsigns, etc. You will also need to know what your E&O insurance will be, ask if there is an additional "brokerage fee" charged in addition to the commission. Is there a production quota? Does your production carry over into the next calendar year, or do you start at the bottom of the production ladder each January...it is just important to remember that you are interviewing the office/broker, too! And after the meeting, contact some agents that work in the office and speak candidly with them....

Hi,

Watson is a good choice. However, you should interview with a coouple of companies and find out how much it will cost you to put your license with them. There are desk fees, what's your commission split, insurance, floor time, do they provide leads, do they cost anything and many others. Don't forget your MLS and NEFAR dues as well.

Wishing you much success.

You need to search for the best trainer and find someone who can help you succeed first. You need to have goals , faith, and courage as well and then start your fire go make some money. Also if you can join a board do yourself a favor by taking as many training class to help you with more skills. Good luck!

MANY of the TOP Real Estate agents in Jacksonvlle started with Watson Realty. Watson has a wonderful reputation for training and mentoring. There should be an offce near your home. My suggestion is to contact the manager of that office....meet with the manager....and, perhaps talk with other agents in the office. Most experienced agents welcome new agents and can be helpful in your success.
It is BEST not to join a company that does not have a STRONG training program.....do not let the commission split influence you on your choice. You will start with a lower per-cent of the commission at Watson but the training is worth it! GOOD LUCK! Let me know if we can ever be a help.....just email or call me.....Donna 732-7225 startpacking@comcast.net

I would recommend starting with Watson Realty. Based on the zip code you provided in your question, you're in the Southside area. There is a Watson Realty office right on Southside Blvd, the manager is Crissie Cudd, phone Office Phone - (904) 254-0980. Good luck!

Start with Watson...then stay with Watson! Of course you must talk to several brokers to see if they may be a good fit for you. However my opinion is the opening to the answer. I'm here to help if you need me.
