RE Agents - Would you use Elevated Photography services?

Asked by Cbrown, 30327 Tue Nov 13, 2007

By "Elevated Photography," I'm talking about 50 feet off ground level. If you have used similar services in the past, what kind of cost was involved?

I have not used them as of yet. However, I think they really can be used effectively with ones marketing. It is a prespective, or point of view, that many of us never imagine when looking at property.

There is a company here in Charleston that offers that service. Their name is Red Zeppelin Aerial Photography. Naturally, they use a big red motorized balloon with cameras on it. I've never used them, but their number is 843-870-6635. I'm sure they would be happy to tell you all about thier rates. However, with Google Earth and Live Maps, one might assume that their demand has dropped.

Elevated photography is picking up steam. I now have more and more Realtors asking for them, and they are thrilled at the results. This kind of perspective is cost prohibitive for Real Estate in most cases, when using helicopters of light planes, but now an even better effect can be had through the Elevated process.

Hey!

I am sorry the correct link: http://www.usafromabove.com

"I think elevated photos won't on sell the property alone. However, aerial photos combined with excellent interior and exterior pictures DO make a difference! I usually charge $98 for unlimited elevated pictures. Very important that most photographers take pictures with a cheap "point and shoot" cameras. You may want somebody who uses professional DSLR's with professional lens!
Look at my galery at http://www.usafromabove.com. You will see the difference.
Good luck!"

We offer Elevated Photography covering Northern Illinois, taking it up to fie stories high, and charge $150 for two angles and multiple elevations. The results can be very effective in setting a property apart. You can see an example within a Virtual Tour at http://www.1386Windfield.com, or you can see other examples at our web site, the address of which is shown below.

We offer elevated and also interior photography services in the Miami area. The good thing about it is that you don't have to hire a pilot with a helicopter to showcase the property. One picture from above depicts the whole property, swimming pool, beach front, garden, etc. We cover Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale etc. Please visit our website at http://www.usafromabove.com or just simply call 786 444 9743. You can see more examples at http://www.MW360Tours.com. This is a technology that will do nothing but beccome more popular. I know that realtors cut back when the market slows, the exact opposite of what should be done, but as the market begins growing again, you're going to see a lot more use of Elevated Photography.

Interesting question; I'm located in the San Diego area and the idea is a little slow catching on here but in time it will. The view is interesting and useful for the property that warrants it. Go to http://www.beltair.org and check it out

Here in Marin County, there are a few people/companies that will do it for under $400. They use remote control helicopters. It is really kind of cool. In the old days, you would have to hire a real helicopter, which was thousands of dollars. I do not know about the legality of it. I would bet if I called the city they would require a permit. However, the people I have used are in and out in under an hour. The only thing that prevents them is wind. It has to be almost perfectly still. Since my initial post I have used it and was very very pleased with the shot and the cost. You can look at my site to see the image.

It is definitely an eye catching marketing piece to have. A couple of our agents do them and the photos make a big difference.

I am not sure of the cost. But great service.

We provide elevated photography in Northern Illinois and Central Florida, using a vehicle mounted mast system. Our clients, mostly realtors, love it. It is a fast, reliable and inexpensive way to get a completely different perspective.

Many realtors think only in terms of those properties that have a body of water behind or in front, or are large, etc., but quickly find that they work for most any property, giving a view of the property from a different angle while showing what is around that property as well.

Insurance companies, lawyers, architects, engineers and business owners are also beginning to see the value of elevated photography. These days, renting a small plane or helicopter is very expensive and time consuming. Just think elevated!
