If I am a NJ real estate broker do I have to take a class to be a NY broker

Search online to see if your state's agency has a "reciprocal agreement" with New York. You may still have to take additional classes, however.

I would have to agree with Ryan. NYREI has weekend classes and I was able to obtain my full license only doing it part time. I also believe if you are a NY realtor first, you can skip classes in NJ and just take the exam.

Unfortunately, New York and NJ do not have reciprocity. If you need to get fully licensed in NYS I would suggest NYREI. Great teachers and flexible schedule.
