I'm afraid not...you have to be issued the license and then hang it with a broker to start selling homes.

No. You have to be fully licensed to even start showing. Congrats on passing your exam!

Nope..get your license and please get some training. What you have done so far is not enough to start selling, it's only the beginning of your education as a Realtor.

Passing the exam is a huge leap in the right direction toward your new career path. Next step get your license and figure out where you are going to hang it. Think about working for/with one of the top producers in your area and learn the ropes from someone who is a proven success. It will be a win/win for both you. Best of luck!

Hello Dappa1,

Congrats on passing your exam!!!!

Please pay the fee and get your license.

Without a license, it is not legal for you to present yourself as a real estate sales person or engage in client presentation.

This is a fun and rewarding business. Please start out by doing things the right way:).

Much success to You!!!

You can't complete the licensing process until you select a broker to work with. They take responsibility for you. No one can operate as a real estate salesperson in California without a broker. Your application for your sales license requires the broker's signature and you're not legal till you're license comes in the mail.

Don't worry, if you choose one firm and decide to move on to another, it's a fairly quick process to switch. But you should investigate the options and decide what kind of workplace you'd prefer.

For what it's worth I chose to bypass all the big firms in town and work with a small shop with a real estate attorney as broker. That works for me.

Nope, not yet. There are additional tasks you must complete. Once you select a brokerage, they can walk you through the process.
