consultant with my own company, passed the real estate sales test a few years ago. I need to know how I can get my brokers license. I know I need to do the further education coarses, but does my consulting count for the two years I need? I don't think my other years I acquired count any more becuase the DRE says the last six years count. If they don't and my consulting does not count, is there a company I can sign under? Or pay? I have heard of them, I do Venture Capital with very large investors but want to get my brokers license so I can open an office. Thank you so much for the assistance. I appreciate any advice or direction.

Hi John, check out these 2 links. I think you will find the answers you arte seeking. I would ask this however, do you want to undertake the responsibilities (mostly financial) right now? many excellent Broker candidates are working for our company as well as our competition right now, because of the high cost of insurance, facilities, and Marketing, just to mention a few. They plan on riding out the next 1-2 years with us, and then moving into their own Brokerage. A thought for you. Since we have a Residential & Commercial Division, I am sure we could find a place for your services. We also have a "Virtual Agent" program. I wish you the best of luck, hope that helps.

John, I think the DRE would be the best source for your answer. Best of luck to you...I started studying for my brokers license then got sidetracked - I should get back to it!
