It is excellent to see that agents in Apple Valley are protecting the home owner by not revealing who they are or a means to contact them. All those 'investor school' escapees are also wanting the same information so they can hunt the owner down like a pack of dogs.

As a real estate agent with the address of the property you have many, many, many options. I suggest you consult your broker about using the tools readily available.

Don't expose your home sellers to unwanted exposure. Do exactly what you see these other agents doing.

I agree with Annette, the seller's privacy should be safeguarded throughout the process. Our MLS entry screen has a space where the seller's name and phone number can be entered and I always leave the phone number blank.
I consider an introductory letter to be more respectful of the seller's privacy.

Hi James,

You can search the owners name in any of the popular people searches. Yahoo has a good one. But you have to be careful to make sure that you are in compliance with do not call registries.
