I am a licensed real estate agent in Montana and will be moving to Az. this summer and was wondering if I would have to retake the course.

Yup. Not only will you have to re-take the exam, you'll have to re-take the course, get fingerprinted, lots of fun stuff like that. I did the same thing; I was first licensed in CA, then moved very quickly to WA and had to re-do part of the exam there, but AZ has no reciprocal agreement for real estate licensing with other states, so when i moved here in 2010, it was like starting from scratch.

Check on the AZ Department of Real Estate for detailed licensing information, link below.

Good luck!

Here is a link to the licensing forms on the AZ Department of Real estate:
http://www.re.state.az.us/Lic/LicForms.aspx

I had to go through the in-person training and the exam, when we moved from CA to AZ in 2007.
I am not sure how it had changed since them.

Good luck!

Alpha Realty is always looking for good, motivated people to join the company. I was coming from MI, then I have to do 28 hours AZ Laws class, and test. Easy to take it. Call my broker, she is the nicest broker I met so far. Office number 480-777-2500, Toni Parera (toni@alpharealtyaz.com). see you soon,

When I moved back from Florida, I had to go through the entire 90 hour course, exams, etc. Good luck!

Yes; you will more than likely have to take the Arizona portion of the exam; not the National exam. Have you picked a company yet?

You should contact the AZ Dept. of Real Estate and they can give you all of the requirements. Good luck!
