I blog as much as I can on several sites. I think that every blog gives you more exposure and if well written on a good topic also gives you credibility with site visitors some of which will eventually become future clients.

My broker actually has a weekly blogging class to teach agents how to blog in wordpress and I'm given a free wordpress blog hosted and designed by the company. Here is a link to our weekly class schedule.

Cheryl:

I just attended an "Agent Reboot" seminar today and it basically reviewed all things "social" for Realtors. If you're interested and get the chance I was very impressed.

I think the blogging component is not only a way to demonstrate expertise but also a way to maximize the search engine optimization for your website. It's a way to keep the website current and rank higher in searches if the blog is contained in it.

Best wishes!

Scott

I have heard from other realtors that blogging was successful for them.
Could anyone explain where they blog to get the results?
How do you start blogging? - Have never done it before...
I see many blogs, even here on Trulia, that no one responds to.
This will be highly appreciated.

Hello Cheryl,
Yes, blogging is a great tool for attracting leads. It aids in showing your market knowledge and expertise as well as helping others to be informed on current housing trends and real estate and mortgage news.

Give it a try here on Trulia.

I believe that many agents use this method almost as much as Facebook; I personally have not got into it too heavily, however, many agents I know have been doing fairly well with blogging in the equation. You never know who you may come across that may need your help/advice.
