DotLoop versus DocuSign for iPad?

Asked by Lisa Crowder, Atlanta, GA Thu Jun 21, 2012

I finally got an iPad and I want to take full advantage of its capabilities by switching to paperless processing for my contracts. Does anyone have any insight on the advantages/disadvantages of DotLoop versus DocuSign? I believe some of the KW offices have signed on with DotLoop and Realtor.org seems to push DocuSign. I'd appreciate feedback from anyone who's actually been using either of these services, particularly on an iPad. Thanks!

The entire Keller Williams organization uses DotLoop. There is a bit of a learning curve, but once you have it down you are hooked.

Dotloop is different than the other esignatures softwares and is also free. Think about Dotloop as dropbox where the docs are in a virtual conference. There is nothing to be emailed back and forth to and from clients/agents. Here everyone meets in one place and there is record of any changes made from any party. I have tried other esignature software and cant see how they compare to dotloop.

I love DocuSign! I have not tried DotLoop. If you are a member of the National Association of Realtors, you can receive a discount. Docusign is free through NAR for a limited number of transactions - 5 per month. https://www.docusign.com/products/editions/%23tabs-1?quickta…

I like to know more as well. I've gotten to really like Docusign, but mostly because (a) it got to me first, and (b) it integrates seamlessly with Zipforms, which our local MLS uses for all ytransaction forms.

Went back to Docusign for the less techy clients it is simple to use.

Lisa I've tried all of those but they just can't beat free. Authentisign through GAMLSPRO is free with our GAMLS membership and it has so many features I love such as highlighting, drawing lines through wording, redactions and adding text to the document.

I use DocuSign and like it, but don't know how it compares to DotLoop. I'm not totally paperless, but I do love it when my client is willing to use it. I find it is very convenient for all parties and the contracts stay so wonderfully legible!

I'll be watching, too, to hear about DotLoop.
