I have had HomeGain for 3 months. I have done 6 "proposals", where there is a prospect that asks for info. NOT one has even opened my proposal, let alone rejected it. NEVER EVEN OPENED. I think it is a a waste.
The Vision Program has directly brought 2 direct contracts that will bring $18,000 if they close. That is in 2 1/2 weeks of using it. Use the craigslist posting tool. I have several more active/hot leads. Has generated 38 leads in 2 1/2 weeks. I signed up for 15 leads. They are not great, but the self generated are going great.

When I first started in Real Estate in 2005 I was using Homegain. I got leads from Homegain and closed some deals, but I quickly came to the realization that I was working hard and giving away most of my commission checks to Homegain and my broker. I was also paying for ads with Google Adwords.

I joined up with a new broker this past March and I'm not paying for leads any more. Blogging is the way to go. I have my blog site ranked in the top 10 in google for my home town now and I'm starting to work on surrounding towns.

Easiest to start with for beginners. Does not require tuning.
Will not cut out in mid flight due to fuel vs air mixture or have ignition problems.
Almost vibration free. There are no pistons moving in the motor, giving the helicopter a more stable flight pattern.
Best Power/Weight Ratio.
Low long-term operational cost. (Does not require the purchase of fuel)
Flying weight and Center of Gravity does not change throughout the flight due to consumption of fuel.

I use to have really good success with Homegain back about 5 years ago but it has gone down hill and I haven't even had a closed sale in over two years. Regretfully having to let go and close my account today.

I had Market Leader for about 3 years when first started in RE, learned a lot from their agent forum, loved their drip campaigns, sold a few homes....maybe broke even. Now they have Vision System, no drip included, very good home updates mailed to clients on demand. It is the best system I have found to keep in touch. But now there is which is offered free by our association and does exactly the same and maybe more, graphics are not so pretty but it is FREE. Try to join at and the system will let you know if your association carries it. Realty Now has a good leads program, unlimited leads for 99 a month with no contract, and you pay them no commission split unless the home sales for over 150K.

Good Luck

My office had Market Leader for a year. It was expensive and the quality of leads was not up to their sales pitch. The majority are not phone verified. Their people and customer service are very hepful, but the product did not justify the cost. We also had Homegain and dropped that as well. There are markets where these might make sense, but in most cases they area a waste of money.

I agree with Lyle, i felt it was cost did not justify the return.

Both are a joke. We worked with Homegain for over 10 years. Started out legit but the last 1-2 years has deteriorated badly. They won't even answer the phones anymore. Since Reply bought them the service and quality of what you get is awful We are canceling.
We tried Market Leaders and agree with other comments below - overpriced and they oversell their quality of leads. They do nothing. We cancelled pretty quickly because it was obvious what was going on.

Thu Mar 13, 2014 is a waist of time. I received a lot of FAKE leads with wrong phone numbers, wrong e-mails. I DO NOT recommend to anyone this service !!!

Previous Broker had Market Leader for agents use ... liked the drip campaign, quick response to potential client and followup on behalf of agents. Closed a few deals..consistency and followup is key.

I LOVED Market Leader for a long time. I paid a lot for the leads, but did the math and my returns were huge. Over time, I stopped buying leads as I sensed a change in lead quality. Then I continued using Market Leader for blast emails and drip campaigns. Finally I dropped ML and picked up Top Producer instead. Several agents in my office subscribed to House Values and Just Listed when I did but nobody had the same success. You have to be open minded, treat all leads the same and be patient. Some of them took months - even years in some cases - to be ready to buy or sell.

I've never heard from Market leader but I worked with homegain several years back and never had a viable lead in over a year of paying them. Would not recommend that service.
