I use RealPro -- integrated into my website which makes it far easier to manage as everything is in one place--plus I think their drip system is second to none. After reading this post and answers I am going to check out Sugar.

I use Nutshell but the reason I need a robust CRM is for lead distribution for agents. It does everything I want it to. I would say half of my team likes it and the other half not so much!

I would stay away from any system that is:
- a web-based or "cloud" application
- specific to the real estate industry
I use Microsoft Outlook with the Business Contact Manager feature that comes with it. It does everything that all the other "real estate" systems do, but the one thing it does best is sync between laptop, iPhone, and iPad very quickly and easily. 2nd best thing is that it doesn't require an internet connection to work, other than to sync or send/receive email.

There are many quality systems out there... they are only as good as the users.

TopProducer is fantastic.

What system did you end up with? I work with all of them and do resales/training for a couple of them. I'm also running SugarCRM.

Linda--you won't be sorry...the integration is seamless and like magic I get return emails from prospective leads letting me how how much they appreciate my service and staying in touch with them...and, all of it is done on auto pilot. Best of luck to you in your implementation.

Glad to see Judi's response as I have just signed with RealPro and am just getting everything into place. i think the "best" CRM System is the one that you will actually use. So many times we buy into something and then don't propertly implement it (I include myself here). I am hoping that the RealPro system will work for me.

I use Salesforce. It is inexpensive and amazingly powerful. Plus it is used by the "big dogs" the fortune 500 companies. I'm pretty sure Zillow uses it.

At this moment I am testin 'Social Sugar" a configuration of SugarCRM configured for those who have gone 'all-in' for social media marketing. This, plus their 'action based' analytics is putting them on par with SalesForce.

You would be well served to create a CSV fike of 20 clients AND a test plan for observing these systems dance. Without observing this protocol there is no hope to validate or verify claims within the trail period.

Never surrender a CC# to a CRM company. Auto-billing can be a trap.

Best of success to you,

Hello Las Vegas,
I have paid to have a software development company validate (test) 14 CRM using my 20 test client database and a test plan I helped design. It is a true OMG experience to see how many 'blue label' crm are fatally flawed.

Top Producer was one of those tested. This product performed flawlessly. However, the add on costs and the learning curve were so exhaustive as to make then non-competitive.

it is critically important to assess what you want your CRM to do. Seriously,,,what do you want it to do and what will you actually use. If you have not completed this exercise you will be distracted by the bells and whistles.

I use WiseAgent. It has all the stuff I actually use and a few things I really want to use but...well, I got lazy.
It's easy to learn, easy to use, incredibly cost effective, and a one-time sync fee so you can pack you contact list on your tele. Checklists, calendar notification...and more and more and more...
I wish I could say WiseAgent sends me a nickle every time I promote them...but the don't. They don't even send me a thank you...Maybe you willl....I mean a 'thank you.'

Now, if you have the time and energy and enjoy the excitement of being an early deployer of technology and want to benefit from really, really leading edge, tools, take a look at SugarCRM. What's happening behind the curtain is awesome!
