Here are a few ideas for generating local exposure -
1. Join charity boards - they almost always seem to print your business affiliation whenever they publish anything regarding your board membership
2. Be a MAJOR sponsor of community events. It costs a little more to have a bigger banner than other businesses at the event, but it's "go big or go home" with these things. Nobody remembers the little sponsors, just the major and title sponsors.
3. Volunteer to serve on event committees. But absolutely DO NOT "do whatever is needed to help the charity." Say that out loud and you'll get assigned to the reception desk selling raffle tickets (you don't want that...). Seek positions of leadership that create opportunities to hob-knob with the movers, shakers and luxury home buyers of the community. Bring fresh ideas to make the event more successful. Feature yourself and your skills.
