Any advice for filling out RE277 Equivalent Experience Verification form?

Asked by Unspecified, South Pasadena, CA Wed May 1, 2013

I passed the salesperson license examination and am finishing up the remaining courses to be eligible for the brokers exam. I am planning on submitting the Equivalent Experience Verification form, since I just got my salesperson license and don't have the 2 years of experience buying and selling real estate. For the last 5 years I have been doing land use planning, including EIRs and pushing a project through LA County and the Coastal Commission. Anyone have any advice on the experience verification form or what my chances might be on getting the exemption.

I want to add that there is value to getting the experience first. I had my sales license for 5 years before getting the broker exam. It is not an easy one and the experience definitely helps.
