Yes! I have also seen traffic picking up right away this year, I had people waiting for me at my open house for a downtown condo I have listed. it was fun to see that excitement on Sunday, in two hours I had 8 couples stop by .
I also have seen a lot of activity on our listings for showings, hopefully this is a good sign of the up coming spring market!

Hey, a bunch of great answers. John, I would be truthful and state that for the record, living in the Twin Cities with 3.5 M people, I cannot possibly have my fingers on the pulse of every single neighborhood or suburb. I would tend to say, however, that it seems to be pretty regular in all the areas I pay attention to. At the same time, I do have knowledge of one area in Minneapolis that is not getting a lot of traffic and has increased foreclosure exposure. There must be some areas, similar to what you described, where thing are not picking up just yet due to some particular issues.

Mark - I'd say yes, but only in specific markets. Most agents work in at least 4 different markets and I'd like to know if any who respond to your question would say business is picking up in all their markets or just in certain ones. Our town has 10 generally accepted markets and about half are picking up and the others remain stagnant. The markets that are picking up have held their value or seen reductions of less than 2%-3% over the past few years. Unfortunately, markets that have been hit hardest are continuing to be ignored by buyers. I think it's something tied to the pesky location thing........

I absolutely agree and I have sold two properties in multiples that have been on the market since last year. This traffic came out of nowhere.

Yes---interest in Florida has been incredible this year. Maybe because of all the snow in the rest of the country?

It's not just you, after two years of luke warm interest I am averaging 12 showings per weekend on my various listings. I took a listing late last week and have had one call and two showings already scheduled. I don't know how to explain, but I am most grateful!
