ActiveRain blog traffic reduced?

Asked by John Souerbry, Fairfield, CA Fri Sep 6, 2013

Has anyone noticed that blog readership on ActiveRain, reported on the "traffic" page, has been greatly reduced since AR was purchased by Trulia? Don't know if it is by plan or by chance, but I've always posted blogs on both sites and usually got the same readership volume on both. Over the past few months readership on AR has tanked, while Trulia has stayed about the same.

I haven't noticed that for me. I would say why bother posting anything on Trulia?

Lyn - my blogs on Trulia now get 10x more traffic than the same blog posted on AR. They used to get roughly the same traffic.

John--hmmm...glad to hear other people are noticing this as well. AR used to be the best place to post a blog in terms of the Google juice it produced and high volume of readership. Since Trulia stepped in both have diminished greatly.

J, I'm getting far more hits from my WordPress sites now. A year ago if I put a specific search term in Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. most of the returns would show my AR and Trulia postings first. Now it's the other way around. But I do notice that if you enter a specific property address to search, Trulia is on top more than it used to.
