It is possible to make proposal to the owner of the land/lot that you are wanting to build on and see if they would offer seller financing for the next year. Do you already have the land identified or do you need assistance finding such property?
I live and work in the exact area you are in and would be happy to help if you don't already have an agent relationship.

This is interesting. Many lenders--especially the large, national ones--have been shying away from A&D and construction loans (at least in some of the areas where I invest). What kind of LTVs are these lenders doing? How much skin do they want to see? When do they want to be taken out? ... more

Hello Paula,

When you mention your identity was given to a third party, are you saying a third party called you as a solicitation? The reason why I ask, is that Countrywide uses Credco for their credit information. If you are not on the opt out list, Credco will sell your information to the highest bidder. Meaning if you apply for a home or auto loan, the inquiry is marked that you are shopping and Credco sells your information.

It is wrong but until they are sued, there isn't anything that anyone can do about it. It's called a "trigger lead" and anyone can read about them on the internet. In order for you not to have your information sold, you need to make sure you add your name to the opt out list at least 3 days before applying for a home or auto loan or at least make sure no involved parties use Credco.
