You can generally get this information by talking to the fire department or some other government organization with that information. The fire protection rating can play a big role on the amount of home insurance you have to pay. If you have a good fire rating, the insurance company doesn't have to be as worried, and you might get lower rates. If you have a bad fire rating, then the opposite is true, and you might have a higher insurance rate.
