Rocky G.H. Hawrysz answered:
Escrow costs do depend on the purchase price of the home. Check out this website (Old Republic) to get an idea of the costs. Keep in mind these are not the only costs associated with closing a home.

I hope this helps,

Rocky

Joel,

Both Heather and Michael make very good points. I too have heard more negative about Lease Option situations. I have not come across anyone that has completed their Lease Option more than once or twice.

That type of deal is more beneficial, I believe, for the owner than it is for you. Still it depends on the language of the contract and how much you're protected as well.

Good luck.

Thanks for your question Chris. I searched for the home and it is pending sale at $114k asking price. Prior to this, in 2005 this home sold for 400k.

Good time to buy if interested. But be aware that most homes are listed very low and then multiple bids drive the price up to mid $100,000 to $200,000.

Appreciate the opportunity to answer your question Chris.
