Kaplan is pretty well respected and has various options depending on what course you need and what license you're looking to obtain. They offer classroom courses in some areas as well which can definitely be beneficial for some. I agree with Derek that while you'll learn the laws and regulations surrounding real estate in your area, most of the courses don't prepare you for the day-to-day work and real life requirements of an agent - that's something you'll have to learn on the job or through training programs with your brokerage. For new agents, it can be a good idea to find a brokerage that will allow you to work with a more experienced mentor agent to get a lay of the land. ... more
