Hi,

Curb appeal is of great importance in resale, so I would recommend at least focusing on the front yard.

All the best,

HI,
I AM ON SECTION8 AND HAD TO MOVE BECAUSE OF A FORECLOSURE. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR 6 WEEKS, NOW,PAYING STORAGE,STAYING WITH FAMILY.THERE IS NOTHING I CAN FIND AND I LOOK EVERYDAY. EVEN THE DUMPS ACT LIKE THEY ARE TOO GOOD FOR A SECTION8 PERSON. IF I DON'T FIND A PLACE BY SEPT 1, I WILL BE KICKED OFF AND I DON'T KNOW HOW I WILL MAKE IT AS I HAVE $600.+200 SOCIAL SECURITY TO LIVE ON. AND THAT IS WORKING 2-3 DAYS a week. All I want is a place I can live in and make a home to stay in.
,I think maybe I will start asking for a credit check on the landlords. I also feel very discriminated against by the realtors and landlords when their tone of voice and attitude change when I ask if they take Sec8..
I HAVEN'T ALWAYS BEEN POOR,AND THOSE PEOPLE WHO LOOK DOWN THEIR NOSES AT SECTION8 PEOPLE,SHOULD TAKE A GOOD LOOK AROUND YOURSELVES BECAUSE THINGS BEYOND YOUR CONTROL ,COULD CAUSE YOU TO NEED AND FEEL GRATEFUL THAT THERE IS SECTION8..

I would recommend that you find the a Navy Federal Credit union near you and Join. I'm in the process of buying a home using my VA at 3.25 percent. I'm not sure if you have a Navy Federal Credit Union near you but I think it's worth a drive to Fountain Valley, Ca (Orange) to join. After that everything is done over the internet.

Jm Bern,
I have a client that SOLD their Short Sale home on 4/18/08. It took 9 months prior to negotiate with the first and second lien holders. I am now showing these particular clients houses to BUY again. Their credit scores are over 700 today. Each situation is as unique as the individual owner and Banks. I'd be happy to chat about some options you may still have, including a loan mod. ... more
