Hello Gene, if you figure out what cities or zip codes you are considering, minimum number of bedrooms and the maximum payment/price you are looking to achieve any agent can email listings to fit your search criteria. Your email address is needed to set you up for the automatic daily updates.

Do you have down payment and closing costs or do you need down payment and closing cost assistance programs?

Hard flooring, whether hardwood, laminate, vinyl planking, or tile is preferable to carpet. Carpeting is harder to keep clean and is unsanitary.

Remodeling can be a great way to maintain your property, especially if it's been a long time since the last remodel. Kitchens and baths are key area buyers look and key updates can make all the difference. One sink versus two in the same bathroom may not add value; however, the remodel may help keep your home current with the market in the area. ... more

Your issue is you are using Trulia. If you want to get anything done get a real estate agent. Trulia is currently a tragic mess.

I do not check replies, so if you have a comment or question email me here:

Most of the answers/discussion below appear to be valid and good information. The one thing I haven't heard mentioned is the obvious...Most people prefer Fee Simple ownership of the land their home sits on. For that reason a leased land property will always be in less demand and slightly more difficult to sell. In a good market like we have now, leased land properties are attractive and appealing as they cost less than ones with full land ownership. In a distressed market, like the one we suffered through up until 2011, leased land properties are very difficult to sell and lose a larger percentage of their value. ... more

If you have lent money to a friend and they didn't pay you back on time, would you lend to them again? Would you warn other friends about what happened?

If they did pay you back quickly and with interest, I bet you would do it again.

It doesn't take long to clean up one's credit. Just pay your bills on-time for 2-3 years and you will be surprised what you can qualify for. There are some mortgages you can get with as little as 3% down payment.

Some real estate sites do not have the most accurate information on for sale properties. If you are interested in a property it is best to contact a licensed real estate agent to get the true details. HOA fees can get expensive in the resort style living communities. Land lease does not mean that an HOA will still not exist. There are several communities that have both. If you would like more information regarding a property please feel free to contact us and we will be able to tell you what the monthly fees are and the price of the property. ... more
