We would need a little more data to best answer your question.
Are you selling your home and that is the source of the home inspection?
If you are talking about the inspection report from 2003, there is really nothing you can do unless there was damage then...which would be almost impossible to prove without documentation from the 2003 inspection.
An inspectors report is a "right here, right now" account of the property. Unless the trees looked like they would cause damage in the near future, the inspector would not call them out. And if they did, the report would note to "contact a professional in this field for further advice".
