I would highly recommend making sure you have a short sale specialist involved as it sounds like there is going to be some complications with your lender.
That being said - make sure your listing agent is checking in with the bank on a weekly basis and keeping a log of all communications and whom they have talked to.
If you have an offer submitted already from the interested buyer - you will need to keep the buyer posted on progress so they can hang in there throughout the process.
There are a lot of challenges with short sales - but with persistence a large portion of the time home owners are finding success. Try to stay calm and submit everything they ask for right away - even if you have already submitted those same docs previously. Also make sure you write your account number and name on every page you submit to the bank so it makes it a bit harder to misplace your documents.
