The majority of the answers are right. SS wont add value, but will increase sale time. I would look at the neighborhood and competing homes as well. If you have nice black or white appliances that are in good condition, you may be better off spending the money on counter top upgrade if you don't have granite. The interesting thing is that as SS becomes more popular in the mid to lower price ranges there has be an increase in high end properties going back to black or white sleek fridges etc. The Wall Street Journal did an article last year referencing this trend. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10000872396390444301704577631443243649090.html

You can't go wrong with SS. However if you think that money can be used to upgrade other items in the bath room, light fixtures etc, you may be better of doing that.
