Hello Cecelia,

I can definitely help you find a home for rent in San Antonio. I am a licensed real estate agent and I know the area well.
And don't worry too much about your bad credit. When it comes to renting a home, landlords look at a number of factors along with your credit score - primarily rental history and income (3x the rent is the most common qualifier). So having a good rental history and income will help you to overcome a bad credit score.

Call, text, or email me to tell me a bit more about what you're looking for in a home (size, location, price range, 2 story, ect,) and we can go from there!

I can help.

There is currently down payment assistant grants available to teachers who meet eligibility criteria.

The first step is to get pre-approved. We can do this by reviewing credit, income, assets, and employment.

Then, I can refer you a reputable real estate agent who can help find you a property that meets your needs.

Renting at your price is possible, not sure if you would be able to find one with a in law suite or secondary apartment but you never know. Sometimes it is the least likely that works out the best. Let me know if I can help, I am happy to run the search and find what you are looking for.

Improving your credit is recommended.d But there are other options such as buying a Owner finance home! Maybe you already have the home you like, but owner finance is a great way to get into a home. You need 10% down though, that's the catch. If you have questions about this go to www.satxcasas.com and click on owner finance and fill in the form and I will answer any question you have! ... more

Great question, & I'm glad to hear you're tired of paying someone elses mortgage. 1st and foremost you need to find a Realtor you trust and you're comfortable with to be your buyers agent. Once you've done that your Realtor will be able to assist you through the multiple listing service based on preferred terms of payment. It's really quite simple, that's what buyers agents are for. They are your consultant. They're there to ensure you are protected and well informed in all aspects of the home buying process. I'd be happy to answer any additional questions you may have.
