MLS#1116000 is a new house listing in The Arbor of Sonoma Ranch. It's our neighbors house, and it is a corner lot, well kept up, and I'm pretty sure they have been the only owners of that house. ... more

I CAN SURELY HELP WITH YOUR SEARCH! The area around Helotes is growing and there are still some homes with acreage. The farther north you search the more reasonable the prices. in my message there is a link in which you can search for homes and if your share your contact information we can speak and discuss the options.

Amschultz68, make sure you understand it is "usually" 80 % of the market value. I have seen properties under valued and over valued, in all areas of town. It is not what you can base a sales price on. You need to see the sales prices of comparable homes in that area from the last 6 months, to determine the price of a home. ... more

Interview at least three reputable Realtors. Ask them to do a market analysis on three or four similar houses in your neighborhood that have sold in the last nine months. Review their marketing plan and ask questions. You will know you have made the right choice if your Realtor returns your phone calls and emails you feedback. Good Luck ... more

Hi Eve,

It really varies. You will want to check with several companies and make sure you are comparing the same coverage. There are so many options. They do look at your credit as well. If you currently have your auto insurance with a company that does both check with them first as you will qualify for a discount having auto and home combined under one company.

Best of luck to you with your purchase!
