There haven't been big depreciations but then neither has there been huge appreciation in Briar Ridge. Although homes in that area are up a little from last year. One of the nicest parts of an older established neighborhood like Briar Ridge is that it didn't suffer from the huge drops that newer homes did & are still suffering from. While golf course lots are generally a little higher in price I don't think there is a huge difference in stability. Things that affect the market more are the number of foreclosures and shorts sales in a neighborhood. I hope you have a Realtor helping you with your buying, if you do they can provide you with a market analysis of any area you are interested in. If you don't have a Realtor give me a call I would be happy to assist you. In any case good luck to you in your home search.
